A very humble school along Jalan Bukit Ho Swee, otherwise known as the Old Road.
When I was a student (1970 - 1975) there, the school was known as Bukit Ho Swee East School. The medium of education was in English. There was another school right next to it - Bukit Ho Swee West School, which was a Chinese medium school.

I studied at Bt Ho Swee East Primary School from 1969 to 1974 and move on to Tanglin Technical Secondary School. I knew Bt Ho Swee East Primary School inside out because I stayed just across the road, Blk 11. I spent all my primary school holiday playing badminton, hide & seek and kite there.
Myself and my siblings all studied there. Lived in Blk 4. My mum still lives there so I drive past the school at least once a week. Have fond memories of it. Still remember holding the milk the school used to hand out under some nourishment programme and then spitting it back out onto the bushes when the teachers weren't looking :)
I studied there from 1964 to 1969. My primary school mates still meet together regularly. Fond of memories of the time spent there. I am now in my mid-fifties and am now an Adult Educator and I remember my primary school teachers who had impacted me immensely.
I studied in Bukit Ho Swee East School from 1963 to 1968.
We have a facebook page, come and join us there and share stories with our alumni there.

I studied at Bukit Ho Swee East School from 1969 to 1974. Miss Yuen, Miss Foo Pee Pee and the late Miss Tan Kah Eng were my favorite teachers, especially Miss Tan. I was also a boy scout, a sixer. I still remember some of my classmates' names: Goh Boon Kooi, Tan Ghim Hoon, Teo Bak Hwa, Ng Chee Seng, Ng Yong Peow, Yeo Siak Moh, Chan Mee Foong, Ng Lai Mui... I was sick for two to three months, hospitalized prior to my PSLE... subsequently I went on to study at Queensway Secondary School.
Hi! I was fr BHSE pri sch fr 1970-1975. I find your name familiar but can't recall if I know u personally. I remembered most of the teachers mentioned by some of the commentators esp. Ms. Foo Pee Pee. I wonder if she is still around as I will like to link up with her again. I remembered eating ice balls too in the afternoons whether to or fr sch. Tks for the write up. I was excited to find links to my former primary school n old neighbourhood too.
Like Gary Wong, I studied in BHSE from 1969 to 1974, B class in the way (Form teachers from Pri 2, Ms Leow, Ms Chong, Ms Yuen, Ms Foo and Ms Wong) and then Tanglin Technical School (Sec 1D, 2D, 3A, 4A). I know A class pupils still keep in touch with each other and organised gatherings. I remember Boon Kooi (tall for his age and always got first in Sports Day races). Siak Moh was my classmate in one year. I also remember Chong Howe, Poh Geok, Lily, Tan Kim Bock, Dennis..I am still in touch with Tay Chin Seng. I used to live in Blk 10, rental flat as a kid and moved to Block 6 later. Now still living in Tiong Bahru area. So much has changed here.
I have Ms Foo’s number.
I was class B, 69-74
